What is Righteousness?

What do you think righteousness is about? Something you do or something you are? Right doing or right being?

Some Christians believe that they have to work at becoming more righteous. And they kick themselves when they do wrong. They don't realize that by doing these things, they are not seeking God's righteousness, but are trying to establish their own righteousness by their law-keeping and right conduct.

So, what do you think Righteousness is all about?
I going to, with the help of the Holy Spirit dive into the unbound, incorruptible word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever, as we seek to fully understand what Righteousness is all about.

Redeemed from the Curse of the Law - 3

If employees know and believe this, slothfulness can be greatly diminished.  Work hard.   “Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might”  (Ecclesiastes 9:10). In Scripture, hard work and diligence are encouraged; laziness is condemned. “He also who is slack in his work is brother to him who destroys”  (Proverbs 18:9).  However, hard work must be balanced by other primary priorities of life: relationship with Christ, spouse, and family. If work interferes with any of these three relationships, you are working too much. Be honest.  Employees should not give cause for their employers e...
